Digital SAT Practice Test FAQs

How long is the Digital SAT?

The Digital SAT takes 2 hours and 14 minutes: two 32-minute Reading & Writing modules (54 questions total) and two 35-minute Math modules (44 questions total), plus a 10-minute break between the sections.

What is a good SAT score?

The SAT is scored from 400 to 1600. There is no pass or fail — what counts as 'good' depends on the colleges you're applying to. Highly selective schools often look for 1400+, while many solid schools admit students in the 1100–1300 range. Check the middle-50% score ranges of your target colleges.

How is the Digital SAT different from the old paper SAT?

The digital version is shorter (about an hour less), taken on a computer or tablet, and adaptive — your performance on the first module of each section determines the difficulty of the second. Reading passages are much shorter (one question per passage), and calculators are allowed for the entire Math section.

How should I study for the Digital SAT?

Take full practice tests like this one under timed conditions to get used to the adaptive format and pacing. Read every explanation to learn the underlying rules, drill your weakest areas (the Digital SAT rewards grammar rules and algebra fluency), and practice with the short-passage Reading & Writing format — it's very different from the old long passages.
